As a region of the Antique Automobile Club of America, we share a passion for antique cars, their history and their preservation. We encourage you to look around our site and learn more about what we do!
Our home base is located in Hershey, PA, at the Chuck Wagon Lodge. We hold business meetings here as well as many other events. It is also “command central” for the Eastern Fall Meet which is held the first full week of October.
Chuck Wagon Lodge and the Chuck Wagon
The Chuck Wagon has been with us since the beginning. The story of the Chuck Wagon begins in 1955 when the Pottstown Region of the AACA was planning a run to the West Shore of Harrisburg. Hershey Region members thought it would be nice to provide a coffee stop for their members. Enter Ben and Ruth Shonk who owned a Model T open body truck. They agreed to park it along the highway in Palmyra to serve coffee and doughnuts. Soon after, the Shonks agreed to sell the Chuck Wagon to the Region for $500…and as they say, the rest is history! You can see the Chuck Wagon during the Fall Meet as you browse the flea market!
